‘The Voices Amongst The Leaves’

Through the wooded hills
Amongst the undergrowth
Crouches a thumping heartbeat
Hidden deeply with hope

The ghosts, the memories
Flood Srebrenica town
The memories, the ghosts
When evil came down
and cleansed the ground

Walking along the streets
The past remains alive
The bullet holes in walls
The women who survive

The ghosts, the memories
Flood Srebrenica town
The memories, the ghosts
When evil came down
and cleansed the ground

Crawling in darkness
As the streets are stalked by hate
Still exists today
Same acts, different date

The ghosts, the memories
Flood Srebrenica town
The memories, the ghosts
When evil came down
and cleansed the ground

The empty streets cry
Voices wail through the town
But smiles from the young
Will make the sun shine down

But smiles from the young
Will make the sun shine down.
