‘Biophilia #11’ (August 2011)

Gliding down the dust and dirt track,
A symphony of green punctuated by yellow and lilac shades,
Flash before my eyes,
Rambling in the sun,
The sunlight stripes the scene in front of me,
Streaking through the gaps of the leaves in the trees,
The green shoots its new leaves,
Flicker in my face as I travel underneath its arching shade,
The pink blossom flutters like a million butterflies,
The light breeze are wings against my cheeks,
The sound of my mighty horse’s hooves on the track before me,
My leg taps in time
